Behind the Scenes: Our Shoot in Sri Lanka

A Setting That Matches the Product

Why Sri Lanka?
Because it’s raw and rich — calm beaches, dusty roads, hazy light. Everything about the place aligned with our materials and mindset. Clean silhouettes, soft colors, real textures.

From the early morning sun to the golden hour glow, the natural light became part of the story — highlighting every curve of our acetate frames.

A Minimal Set-up, Like Our Frames

We kept the production simple. One camera. One reflector. Natural light. No distractions — just the product, the setting, and the moment.

That’s SOMER in a nutshell.
No fuss, just clarity.

Real People, Real Environments

Our models weren’t styled to perfection. They wore the frames like you would — with linen shirts, swimwear, worn denim. The kind of wear that makes sunglasses feel like they belong.

We didn’t want perfection.
We wanted it to feel lived-in. And it does.

What We Learned

Great frames deserve great context. And when you take SOMER sunglasses out of a white studio and into the world, they speak for themselves.

This was more than just a photoshoot.
It was a reminder: good design travels well.

All four new colors — Obsidian Black, Midnight Leopard, Wild Leopard and Crimson Red — are now available online.
